Techspace Member Wonder Raises $12M to Redefine the Future of Film

LONDON — October 2025 — Techspace member Wonder, an AI-powered creative studio, has announced a $12 million seed round led by Atomico, with participation from LocalGlobe, Blackbird, Adobe Ventures, and prominent angel investors including Erik Huggers (former Vevo CEO) and the Sidemen’s Upside Ventures.

Since launching earlier this year, Wonder has rapidly gained momentum at the intersection of film and technology — partnering with world-class filmmakers and attracting support from leading investors and founders, including ElevenLabs cofounder Mati Staniszewski.

Founded by Xavier and Justin, Wonder blends storytelling craft with generative AI to create a new category of entertainment studio. The platform enables creators and production companies to develop film and video projects — from short films and branded content to music videos and trailers — using cutting-edge AI tools and creative collaboration workflows.

“Xavier and Justin have the rare combination of marketplace and community-building experience, creative brilliance, and technical execution capability needed to create the entertainment studio for the next generation,” said Ben Blume, Partner at Atomico. “Their incredible traction validates that the market is ready for their unique approach.”

In just a few months, Wonder has delivered a slate of impressive projects — including a four-part short film series exploring consciousness and simulation, and the music video for Lewis Capaldi’s “Something in the Heavens.”

From their workspace at Techspace Goswell Road, Wonder’s team continues to grow, pushing creative and technical boundaries in an industry on the cusp of transformation.

“We’re proud to see companies like Wonder redefining what’s possible with technology,” said Charli Stanger-Leathes, Sales Manager at Techspace. “Their vision for the future of film captures the kind of creative innovation our community at Techspace is built to support.”
