Justice AI Hackathon comes to Techspace St Andrew Street
Let's just say lots of coffee will be served on January 15th and 16th! Powering the upcoming Justice AI Hackathon.
This coming January 2026, Techspace will host the Justice AI Hackathon, a two-day innovation sprint bringing together people working across the justice system with technologists, designers, and venture builders to explore how responsible AI can support fairer and more accessible justice.
Taking place on 15 to 16 January 2026 at our soon-to-be opened St Andrew Street building in Central London, the hackathon is led by GoodTech in collaboration with Lovable, Catch22, Taught by Humans, Ufi VocTech Trust, the Mayor of London, the Ministry of Justice, the Justice AI Unit, and Techspace!
Building better justice through collaboration
The Justice AI Hackathon is designed to bring together individuals with lived, frontline, operational, and policy experience of the justice system, alongside technical and creative talent. Participants will work in cross-disciplinary teams that combine Makers, Shapers, and Subject Matter Experts, all focused on building early-stage AI tools that are ethical, practical, and grounded in real-world needs.
Rooted in Catch22’s long-standing commitment to justice reform, the event will centre on two sector-wide challenges that are consistently felt across the justice landscape. Teams will co-design and prototype solutions that aim to prevent harm earlier, improve support for people navigating the system, and deliver meaningful outcomes for communities and frontline services.
Hosting innovation in the heart of London’s legal district
The hackathon will take place across the entire fifth floor of Techspace St Andrew Street, our sustainability-led workspace located between Farringdon and Chancery Lane. Positioned in the heart of London’s legal district, the building provides a fitting setting for an event focused on justice, technology, and public impact.
At Techspace, we design workspaces that support ambitious teams tackling complex challenges. Hosting the Justice AI Hackathon reflects our commitment to creating environments where collaboration, experimentation, and responsible innovation can thrive.
Applications now open
Applications are now open to individuals with meaningful experience of the justice system, as well as technologists and creative problem-solvers who are keen to collaborate, build, and test ideas at pace.
We are proud to support GoodTech and all partners involved in delivering this important initiative, and we look forward to welcoming participants to St Andrew Street in January.
